NOURISH COLORADO POLICY ROADMAP WEBINAR SERIES

Dear Partners,

Over the past year, Nourish Colorado developed a Law and Policy Roadmap to provide guidance and recommendations on key legal questions that we are interested in exploring through upcoming policy work and partnerships.

This roadmap identifies and highlights gaps in current policies and provides recommendations for us to pursue at both federal and state policy levels. It includes seven key objectives that will help define and focus our future policy goals. We also believe in the importance of equity and intentional collaboration with partners to inform our ongoing work. As we continue to sharpen and refine these seven key objectives, we want to bring in the voices and perspectives of our partners.

Qiana Mickie, Founding Principal of QJM Multiprise, has been working with us on bringing an equity lens to the roadmap development and ways to engage our partners on this journey.  Over the next couple of months, Nourish and Qiana will be hosting Zoom discussions to move beyond legal analysis to better understand the landscape around these issues.

We will host 90-minute discussion-oriented webinars that will address five of the seven legal objectives. For a brief description of each of these, please click HERE.

Each of these interactive sessions will: (1) Review our key questions and legal findings, (2)Talk through potential barriers, obstacles, and opportunities, and (3) Conclude with breakout groups and facilitated discussion to understand the groups’ overall reflections, highlight opportunities for collaboration and action, and determine who is missing from the discussion.
