The Dietitian Assistant Supervisor provides leadership and management to the Dietitian Assistant team (and to the daily operations of formula lab).  This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining specific policies, procedures, and guidelines; leading team members in providing direct patient care by demonstrating expert clinical knowledge; ensuring compliance with quality and safety initiatives and practices; and partnering with leadership and staff in the Clinical Nutrition department in meeting the clinical needs of patients and families.

Typical work week will be 3 days administrative duties and 2 days week "clinical" Dietitian Assistant duties.  The ideal applicant will have prior hospital based experience as a Dietitian Assistant and ideally prior leadership/management experience. Previous experience in a formula or human milk lab, in food service, with an eating disorders unit and in pediatrics all beneficial and prefer experience in at least a couple of these areas.

EDUCATION  Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Healthcare or related field. EXPERIENCE  Three years of experience as a Dietitian Assistant or Dietetic Technician in a clinical or hospital based setting. EQUIVALENCY  A Registered Dietetic Technician certification may substitute for the required education. LISENCURES/CERTIFICATION(S)  DTR (Registered Dietetic Technician)
