The College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado invites applications for the position of Instructor/Lecturer of Nutrition and Dietetics. Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching and advising; and service to program, school, college, university, and profession. This 12-month, .50 FTE contract-renewable position requires a doctoral degree (for Instructor level) or masters degree (for Lecturer level) in foods, nutrition, dietetics, or closely related field with two years of related experience not including a dietetic internship. Additional requirements include: Dietetic Registration and evidence of teaching experience (faculty or TA) at a college/university level or experience providing in-service education to physicians/other health care providers. The successful candidate will have expertise in medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessment, food service, food science, cultural foods, or nutrition education. Experience with online teaching and programs; practical experience in an area of foods and/or nutrition; experience in program management and administration; experience with ACEND accredited programs; willingness to advise students; evidence of activity in professional organizations and membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred. Experience with collaborative/outreach campus and community partnerships is desirable.
